Initiatives

Over past several years, I have been involved in the following social causes:

Didar-e-Dilli

Monuments of Delhi Logo In October 2009, when I stepped out with my friend Gaurav Pandey to explore Delhi, I had no idea how it will turn out. What was supposed to be a 2 day exploration, turned out to be a lifetime passion for me. I started writing BLOG articles. But the amount of information that I was able to access about Delhi could not be justified with BLOGs. So I started www.monumentsofdelhi.com, which has now become the most authentic and exhaustive online record of Delhi's Kings, monuments and cities. Currently, the website only contain lists of all entities, but I hope to populate them with detailed articles as soon as I am able to.

The Heritage Photography Club

The Heritage Photography Club Logo In 2010, I started Delhi Heritage Awareness Club. Soon I realized that people are not interested in History as such. So I changed the name of club, and started calling it Delhi Heritage Photography Club. My pitch to audience was that I can take you to places that you have never seen and you can get some extra likes on Facebook for your pictures. It helped me attract more and more participants for my Photo-Walks and slowly I turned them into Heritage Walks. We started doing discussion on History and then also organized Photography Exhibitions in India Habitat Centre, Delhi Haat, Red Fort and Qutub Minar. Slowly, our Facebook Group became very popular and we started getting photographs of monuments from all across the globe. This was the time when we changed the name of Group and started calling ourselves The Heritage Photography Club. We also started an Instagram Handle, which reposts beautiful pictures of monuments.

Youth for Heritage Foundation

Youth for Heritage Foundation Logo By 2014, my work with Delhi's Heritage was at its peak and friends suggested to go more formal with a registration. So we registered Youth For Heritage Foundation as a Trust under the Society Registration Act. YfHF got involved in Exhibitions, Lectures, Performances, Heritage Drives and excursions. Over a period of time, as I got more involved in the Education Sector, I was not able to pay proper attention towards the Foundation. It became dormant with time and the team that helped me put it together is now working on a plan to revive it.

Heritageshaala

Heritageshaala Logo The journey started in 2009, when I started exploring Monuments for leisure. But in matter of weeks, this fling became serious passion and I started studying Heritage. Soon, I realized that it is not sufficient to write BLOG articles or promote Heritage through walks. In order to ensure that our Heritage is respected properly, our coming generations must understand it. When I turned towards School and Colleges, I discovered that we can learn so much more from the science behind monuments. So I developed ways to teach different subjects through examples from History.
Heritageshaala ® was officially established in 2017. Under this, me and my team establish Heritage Labs and conduct Heritage Olympiads across India. We have also launched card and board games. More can be found on Heritageshaala Website.
